A Turkish military cargo plane crashed near the Azerbaijan-Georgia border on Tuesday, Turkey’s defence ministry said.
The ministry said on X that the C-130 aircraft had taken off from Azerbaijan and was returning to Turkey.
It was not clear how many crew were on board.
A search and rescue operation has been launched in coordination with Azerbaijani and Georgian authorities, the ministry said.
Georgian media have published video footage of the crash, as seen below. However, the footage has not been independently verified.
