The Foreign Ministry has issued a travel advisory for Cypriot citizens in Tanzania or citizens planning to travel there due to deteriorating security conditions.
The ministry said in a statement it advises Cypriot citizens to exercise particular caution due to ongoing unrest and the imposition of a curfew in the country, taking into account the security situation in Tanzania.
Cypriot citizens in the country are advised to avoid all gatherings and demonstrations, remain vigilant and follow instructions from local authorities.
They are also advised to closely monitor developments and information from international and local media, avoid unnecessary travel and implement maximum security measures.
Cypriot citizens are also called upon to register on the Connect2CY online platform for Cypriots abroad.
