The trade war declared by Trump against the entire planet (even against penguins) threatens to reach uncontrollable dimensions, affecting all kinds of economic and business activities.
Just yesterday, China officially announced it would significantly reduce the number of American films it imports amid the escalating trade war initiated by US President Donald Trump.
However, even before Trump’s latest attack on Chinese imports, China’s National Film Administration was reportedly considering a complete ban on all Hollywood films as retaliation for the extreme tariffs imposed by the US President.
So Hollywood appears to be off the menu for China. But alternatives exist. There’s Bollywood from India, which has shown tremendous growth in recent years.
Otherwise, there’s always the reliable option of the good old martial arts films from the 80s, which were filmed in Asian countries and had enormous appeal worldwide.
