How are flights to and from Cyprus affected by Heathrow shutdown

Relevant News

A British Airways flight scheduled to depart Larnaca airport for London Heathrow at 07:40 on Friday has been cancelled following the closure of the UK’s busiest airport due to a power outage caused by a fire.

According to information from Hermes Airports, cited by the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) four British Airways flights were scheduled between Larnaca and London Heathrow today – two departures and two arrivals.

The morning flight from Larnaca has been cancelled, while a second departure remains scheduled for 18:45 local time, though its status remains uncertain given the ongoing situation at Heathrow.

Two arrivals from London to Larnaca were planned for 17:50 on Friday evening and 00:05 early Saturday morning, but officials have not yet confirmed whether these flights will operate as scheduled.

British authorities have not provided a timeline for when normal operations at Heathrow might resume, leaving the status of remaining British Airways flights between Cyprus and the UK unclear.
