Emergency services launched a search operation on Saturday for a dog that went missing near the summit of Troodos mountains, as weather conditions were expected to worsen.
The dog, named Balou, was last seen around midday at Chionistra, the highest point of the Troodos range.
Civil Defence and Fire Service teams, supported by volunteers, deployed drones in the search operation.
Temperatures in Troodos tonight may drop as low as -11 °C, as a cold snap dubbed ‘Coral’ is affecting the region.
