Police announced a large number of outstanding fines from traffic camera violations between January 2022 and September 2024 remain uncollected.
Vehicle owners can check for violations and pay fines through the contractor’s website (CyCameraSystem.com.cy) using their vehicle registration and identification numbers. Payment can be completed via the police website.
Violation details are available by calling 80008009 on weekdays between 08:00-17:00. Vehicle owners who were not driving at the time of the violation are legally required to identify the actual driver through the online system.
The payment period runs from January 8 to March 31, 2025. Failure to pay within this timeframe will result in criminal prosecution. The amnesty does not apply to cases already filed with courts.
Vehicle owners who fail to provide driver information when requested face prosecution under Article 21 of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Law.
