President Nikos Christodoulides has given firm assurances that the new Paphos-Polis Chrysochous road will be implemented promptly, regardless of any emerging challenges.

The president made these commitments during a Monday meeting at the Presidential Palace with the secretariat of the Democratic Party (DIKO).

Chrysanthos Savvides, DIKO MP for Paphos and secretariat member, told philenews that he raised the issue during the governance-focused meeting, prompted by ongoing challenges in advancing the project.

According to Savvides, the president was adamant that this vital infrastructure project for Paphos would continue and be completed regardless of any obstacles.

The MP reported that Christodoulides was categorical in his stance that the road would be implemented whatever measures were necessary.

Savvides expressed satisfaction with the president’s assurances, noting that they once again demonstrated Christodoulides’ determination to address and overcome recurring challenges.

The MP suggested this would “silence”, as he put it, certain individuals outside Paphos who were attempting to leverage these difficulties to derail decades of planning.
