Police caught a 16 year old driving around downtown Paphos at midnight, with three also underaged, passengers in the car.
He was taken to the local precinct, accompanied by his father, owner of the vehicle, accused in writing and released.
Authorities have not provided any information on whether the pupil had taken the car without the knowledge of his dad.
In addition, six drivers in Paphos were charged with driving while intoxicated and one for being under the influence of illegal substances.
A coordinated traffic violations campaign will continue and intensify in the coming weeks across the island and the main highways.
