When the United States bombed Iraq and Afghanistan under the guise of combating terrorism, they were met with scepticism by most societies in the West and the East. It was not understood how the slaughter and destruction of entire countries would aid the so-called anti-terrorist struggle.
Ultimately, it did not help. Terrorism grew even more powerful and bloodthirsty, emerging as the “Islamic State” a few years later. In the end, it was the proud Kurds of Rojava who fought and defeated it, using guerrilla tactics and without resorting to civilian massacres in the 2010s.
Using similar rhetoric, Israel is now carrying out its campaign in Lebanon while continuing its operations in the Gaza Strip against the Palestinians. With the help of technology, it tries to convince the Western world that it is striking Hezbollah areas or buildings, as the death toll surpasses 350 in just three days.
Some are convinced and celebrate Israel’s desire to dismantle Lebanon, after Palestine, under the pretext that its existence is threatened by rockets.
In reality, Israel commits crimes against humanity daily, and history will be merciless to those who facilitate it.
