The Police apprehended two individuals, aged 46 and 44, in connection with burglaries and thefts in rural areas, based on information.
According to the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Police officers located the suspects in a pick-up truck and placed them under surveillance.
Around 2:00 a.m., the officers stopped the suspects in the Zakaki area and conducted a search of their vehicle, uncovering various burglary tools.
Additionally, sixteen twenty-litre jerrycans filled with petroleum products were found, for which the suspects could not provide satisfactory explanations regarding their origin.
The two individuals were arrested for flagrant offences and placed in police custody.
Investigations are ongoing.
