The Meteorological Service has issued an evening yellow warning as the heat, coupled with persisting humidity are creating stifling night conditions, particularly for vulnerable population groups, who are advised to take all precautions.
The warning starts at 11 this evening (2300) and will last through to 0700 tomorrow morning, with temperatures inland and in coastal regions not expected to drop below 26 degrees Celsius.
A similar forecast is expected until Wednesday, with 40 degrees expected inland during the day tomorrow and 32 to 36 in coastal areas.
