In the field of the green economy, the open grant scheme focuses on enhancing resilience and adapting communities to climate change.

The plan aims to promote investments from community councils to mitigate and alleviate the impacts of climate change, particularly high temperatures and floods, as well as sustainable mobility investments.

The application submission period started last October and will conclude on June 30, 2024.

In the resilience and improvement of the Cypriot economy sector, the grant plan for the creation and enrichment of health tourism facilities and services, well-being, rehabilitation, accessibility, and autonomous assisted living in hotels and tourist accommodations is underway.

The goal is to attract health, well-being, rehabilitation, and autonomous assisted living tourism throughout the year, while making them fully accessible and friendly to individuals with any type of disability. The application deadline for this grant is September 29.

Moreover, until May 17, 2024, applications can be submitted for the “Graduated Laboratories – Dual-Use Technologies” program, aiming to create new or upgrade existing graded laboratories for research and development of dual-use technologies.

For the digital era thematic area, the Connectivity Grant Scheme is in progress.

The application reception will continue until the end of the year, with individuals being eligible beneficiaries.

The scheme aims to increase demand for high-speed connections, simultaneously encouraging the market to invest in high-speed network infrastructure, aligning with Cyprus’s Broadband Plan for 2021-2025.

In the REPowerEU chapter, which addresses the challenge of reducing dependence on fossil fuels, the “Cooperative Development – CO-DEVELOP” program is open.

The objective is to foster collaboration between businesses and the research community. Applications will be accepted until the end of February.

Finally, until the 26th of the month, applications will be accepted for the “Research in Enterprises” program, aiming to involve Cypriot businesses in research activities for the development of high-value-added technological solutions.

Through the Recovery Fund, Cyprus will disburse up to €1.2 billion by the end of 2026, implementing 133 investment and reform measures, including 35 grant schemes mainly targeting businesses, public and private organizations, non-governmental organizations, and individuals.
